Kansas Historical Society
The Kansas Historical Society – 6425 SW 6th In addition to the historical exposition, visitors can enjoy walking

Heartland Park
Heartland Park is a unique raceway with a quarter mile dragstrip and a 2.5 road course. Races include both auto
and motorcycle races. NHRA drag events are held in both the Spring and Fall. Races include major professional

Washburn University
Home of the Ichbods. Washburn is the only City owned university in Kansas. WU is a beautiful home town campus.
The Washburn womens volleyball is the 2004 National Champions. Both the womens and mens basketball rank high
in league standings. The university is known for the Law program and the nursing program. www.washburn.edu
Georgia Neese Gray / Topeka Performing Arts Center
The Performing Arts center is named for Georgia Neese Gray. Ms Gray was not only known for her Kansas
accomplishments, but more importantly, she was the first female to hold a national secretary position. A wide
variety of entertainment activities are conducted at the center.
Kansas Expocentre and Landon Arena – The convention and entertainment center hosts concerts, sporting and livestock
